Through thoughtful and meaningful changes, Point House has been reimagined as a sophisticated beachfront home. Located in Sydney's Tamarama suburb, Decus Interiors redesigned the existing space for its new owners. In redesigning this permanent beachfront home, Decus Interiors ensured that every aspect served a purpose, whether it was the home's energy, enduring finishes, quality, or tactile nature.

Decus Interiors designed the sophisticated beachfront home six years prior for the original owners. Upon re-examination, they found that the materials initially chosen had withstood the wear and tear of daily life, as well as the unpredictable erosion from the natural elements of the beachfront. The home's original materials – dark wood, granite, and stone – hold a timeless quality; the versatility and durability of certain finishes mean they can be preserved for the new owners. Point House is unlike traditional beachfront homes – instead, it shuns the light and coolness of a beach house, focusing instead on balancing natural light that floods the space throughout the day. An elegant dance of sophisticated finishes and playful colors intertwines with a layering of materials and a combination of textures. The modern house focuses on creating a sophisticated interior, blending polar characteristics in a harmonious interplay to reinterpret the traditional concept of a beachfront home.
