Slow Living in the English Countryside | Homemaking When Life Feels Full
Summer feels like it’s on pause here in England, with the rain making its way back again. So in today’s video, I’m spending a quiet day at home catching up on a few things I’ve fallen behind on recently and getting the house back in order.
Sometimes life gets busier than usual, and in those seasons it’s easy to lose our rhythm a little. Having recently welcomed a puppy into our home, life has definitely felt a bit fuller! Today is about gently reconnecting and slowing things back down. I’m catching up on things around the house that have fallen behind....making no-bake granola bars, tackling some laundry, doing home education work with my daughter and preparing a delicious sweet potato and lentil curry for dinner.
These slow days at home are often the most meaningful, filled with small moments that bring a sense of calm and rhythm to everyday life. When we slow down and notice the beauty in these moments, the seemingly unremarkable becomes something much more. Our homes become more than just places we live, but places that hold who we are.
This is a quiet, slow living vlog with minimal talking...a moment of calm and simplicity. I hope it brings a little peace to your day.
