Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video showcases a survivor 1972 C3 Corvette LT1 in Briar Blue. Featuring a 330 hp small block Chevrolet engine and a 4-speed transmission, the car has been kept in a private collection. While the paint and seats have been redone, it remains largely original, including the factory emissions air pump and matching numbers for the engine and transmission.
Hello folks, Bronco Bob here with Texas Best Used Motorcycles.
Here today to show you our really beautiful 1972 C3 Corvette.
This is an LT1 version.
It comes with a 4-speed transmission, a really nice interior, and this was one of the last
of the pretty close to high horsepower Corvettes before all the emission stuff started kicking
in.
This is a 330 horsepower solid lifter small block Chevrolet with great internals.
This car is a survivor.
It hasn't really been restored.
The air pump is still intact.
Most people back in the day pulled those off, they put brass plugs in the exhaust manifolds
and threw those air pumps in the trash.
That was kind of an emissions thing.
The factory color on this is briar blue.
It's been painted one time and actually painted almost 20 years ago.
It has been in a private collection so it hasn't been driven a whole lot since then
but it's pretty much a survivor car other than I'm sure the seats have been redone because
they look too perfect and the paint has been redone.
These LT1s were kind of unsung heroes.
They came out with the big blocks after this that actually had less horsepower and had
a lot more weight on the front.
So it actually makes these cars well balanced and really fun to drive and it is peppy.
The odometer is showing a little over 3,000 miles so I'm sure it's rolled over.
It's probably 103 and as I mentioned it's been in a private collection for a number
of years.
The bumpers are in excellent shape.
It's got the large mouth fuel tank and 1972 was the last year the back window would pop
out.
You've got a couple little clips and you can take that window out along with the T-tops.
The door panels are very nice and I just love that it's still the factory color.
Those clips right there are what you flip back to take out the back window.
And I believe in 1973 you can no longer do that.
On these windshield wipers, this is the windshield wiper door.
It's vacuum operated.
As soon as you start it, it goes back down closed like it's supposed to.
The headlights are functional.
They're also vacuum operated.
But I just want you to see how pretty this car is.
In the sunlight, it's got some metallic in the paint and it's called briar blue.
In fact, I'd like to start it up and let you hear it run.
It's got crank windows.
Make sure she's in neutral.
You've got to push the clutch in.
It's got a safety switch.
It's got good oil pressure.
Engine's running at a good temperature.
About 195.
AM FM.
I just want you to hear it.
You can see the windshield wiper door has gone down.
And that happens right when you start it and when the car produces vacuum.
I'm going to walk back here and let the car do the talking.
It has mufflers on it.
You can tell it's got a factory bump stick in it.
We did change the oil.
Checked all the fluids.
Just kind of went over the car.
Just where it can be kind of put back on the road for fresh fuel.
And I want to show you the flaws on the paint.
I did take a picture.
There's a little chip right here by the headlight.
You can see.
And I noticed another place back here on the quarter panel.
A little chip right here.
And one more thing that got me is there's a little chip right here.
And there's a little star right here in the paint.
And as I mentioned, this paint job was done 20 years ago.
But it's a beautiful car.
If you want a chance to own a C3 4-speed LT1 car, they're the most desirable.
And we did check the stamp pad.
This is the correct engine that was born with this car.
It matches the serial number.
And I'll have pictures of that.
Also checked the transmission.
Same deal.
It's got the VIN stamp on it.
But thanks for looking.
Thanks for your time.
I'm Bronco Bob wishing you happy trails.
