February in the Bitterroot

A group of backpackers embarked on their first trip of the year in the northern Bitterroots during late February. Over two nights and three days, they enjoyed a snowy wilderness retreat, camping in hammocks and relaxing by the fire, successfully kicking off their backpacking season with perfect winter weather.
