RVing to Newfoundland Ep. 3 - SPECTACULAR Gros Morne National Park! Western Brook Pond! Tablelands!
In this episode of our RVing to Newfoundland & Labrador travel series, we arrive in Port aux Basques after crossing on the Marine Atlantic ferry and discover an incredible boondocking spot in Wreckhouse — surrounded by Newfoundland’s dramatic coastal scenery. From there, we travel north to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gros Morne National Park, one of Canada’s most remarkable landscapes. We explore the striking orange Mars-like rock formations of the Tablelands, visit the wreck of the SS Ethie, and take a breathtaking BonTours boat trip on Western Brook Pond, a glacier-carved freshwater fjord framed by towering cliffs. We also hike the Coastal Trail and Green Point Trail, and from our campsite at Green Point Campground near Rocky Harbour, we witness the most beautiful sunset of our travels. If you’re planning an RV or camping trip to Newfoundland and Labrador, we hope this video — and our entire 14-episode travel guide series — helps you plan your own memorable adventure.
