
Ukraine's secret drone factories help turn the tide in its war against Russia
Undisclosed locations. The weapons of modern warfare. Drone manufacturing has helped Ukraine hold back Russia's assault on its territory through four years of national resolve despite tragedy and hardship.
Russia has also made extensive use of drones in its waves of attacks throughout the war. And so one crucial function for Ukraine's own drone arsenal has been to prevent Russia's remote operated aircraft from reaching their targets.
NewsNation's Jackie Koppell met with people at two drone manufacturers. At different scales, both are supplying the Ukrainian military with some of the inexpensive drones that make up such a vital part of the war effort.
One technician at the drone maker General Cherry cites a figure of some 20,000 Russian drones that its remote aerial vehicles have intercepted.
