With a low estimate of $8,000, this rare ‘bamboo-style’ 1968 Cartier Paris lady’s wristwatch unexpectedly soared at today’s Important Watches auction at Sothebys NewYork. Part of the third tranche of our ‘Shapes of Cartier’ collection, the unusual timepiece sold for a final price of $140,800 after a bidding war.
