Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe speaker introduces \"Miss Mary Kay,\" a blue classic car they purchased already built. The video serves as a detailed walkthrough of the vehicle's specifications, covering the engine modifications, transmission, rear end, and suspension, while noting various \"easter eggs\" left by the previous owner.
Well the day has come for me to talk about my car. I have a list here and this video is probably
gonna suck because it's my first video but once I get a knack for something I tend to
do pretty well at it so hopefully I'm not too awkward and I stay on track.
I'm gonna start by talking about the engine which I have no idea. This is my first old car so you
have to bear with me because I don't really know. I'm learning though. So the heartbeat of the car
is a LA 318 with magnum heads. I hope y'all like my little please do not lean on my grill sticker.
I like to take it to car shows and I don't want my grill messed up. My camshaft is from Mopar
Performance and it's the purple shaft and it's the smallest one they make but it still sounds
really good and it's also bored 30 over which makes for a total of 324 cubic inches of go fast.
So my carburetor is a Rochester Quadrajet from a late 80s Chrysler application. We have the brains
of the operation here to explain a few more modifications that's been made. So on the
ignition system of this car it is a factory style distributor. Nothing too awful fancy with it. It's
aftermarket setup. It's a little bit easier to work with I gotta say. This is the second one
that I've worked with like that but it's a factory replacement electronic ignition
distributor. Now whenever we first got this car home one of the things that I did and it's in one
of my videos too if you want to go back and see is I actually limited the advance curve in this
thing. I limited it to where we have around 17 degrees of mechanical advance and I put a vacuum
advance on this thing for a 1969 application that only pulls around 13-13.5 degrees of vacuum
advance. I did that to try to get this thing to be a little spunkier to where it would start up
fairly easy and we could have good amount of mechanical advance and not have too much vacuum
advance. While I was in there I did also swap to a slightly lighter spring so that way the advance
curve will come in quicker. The driver's side exhaust manifold is from a 318 application
while the passenger side manifold is from a 340 application. Transmission is just a a 904
stock torque fly automatic. The rear end is a chrysler eight and three quarter that has been
narrowed with a 741 center casting a 276 gear ratio and the differential is open.
So one wheel peels it is. So underneath these poverty caps this thing is still retaining
the small bolt pattern axles. Now just to clarify this is a narrowed larger eight and three quarter
for possibly a b-body truck. We don't know exactly what it came out of but it is narrowed to the
factory width so that way it fits this application perfectly. Going back under the hood I'm going to
explain some stuff about the power steering. You heard that right it does have power steering.
It has an aftermarket power steering cooler. All the suspension has been rebuilt and it does have
the early style sway bar. Speaking of the sway bar under the engine we have a 67 to 72
cross member that goes with the sway bar. The reason it has the early style sway bar and cross
member is from the v8 swap and they went ahead and used that one instead of modifying the stock one.
I also like to preference the fact that I did not build this car neither did my boyfriend. We bought
this car. I bought this car already built like this so there are little easter eggs all over
this car where the previous owner wrote random things noted random things on the sheet metal.
It's kind of fun going through and finding everything that he's wrote down. I noticed this earlier so I
thought it would be worth mentioning but we think that this hood might have came off of a different
car or this car when it was a different color because look at that hood latch it ain't blue.
Behind the wheels is a factory drum brake setup and as you can see there's some of the easter egg
that I was talking about earlier. Because of the drum brakes it is small bolt pattern up front
to match the rear. Speaking of the rear the rear wheels are 15s while the front wheels
are 14s. Last but not least this beautiful blue paint is blue sky b1 and it is original.
If y'all wouldn't mind like comment subscribe all the things it helps me out. I'm trying to get to
no-name nationals so I need at least 500 subscribers. I really hope I can make it. That concludes my
video of me talking about Miss Mary Kay. I hope y'all enjoyed it. Maybe the next video will be
better. So how many thumbs up do you give this car? Two. Two thumbs up. Diary start. We're not going to
talk about the fact that she can't walk and chew gum at the same time so videon. What the hell is that?
