This recipe for hot Cream of Rice is packed with a protein punch and easy and healthy RV cooking meal. Breakfast can be a challenging meal for many of us to get protein in at. It is so easy to get exhausted from egg scrambles every day! So here is one of my favorite recipes for a moderate protein, higher carb breakfast. I love to have this meal as a pre or post workout after weight training when the body needs carbs most. Since the white rice in this cream of rice is a simple carb it digests quickly, which also makes it perfect for a pre or post workout meal. But also...it's a nice sweet, hot breakfast on a day that you just want something sweet. A few more perks to cream of rice are that it is high in iron, has zero sodium, is gluten free (for those that are intolerant), is fat free (so you can add your own tasty toppings), is easy to digest (for those with a wonky tummy), and is very bland on its own (a blank canvas to deliciously season it for what you're in the mood for).
