New Deep Sea ROV Encounters with Strange Creatures Found Near Hawai'i - June 2026

From May to early June, NOAA has conducted new ROV dives off Hawai'i, once again treating us to glimpses into its deep, remote habitats. While the expedition was primarily for engineering purposes rather than being more biology-oriented, a number of interesting fauna encounters still occurred-- including a rather unusual find at the very end.
