▶︎ ABOUT THIS TRIP
In autumn 2025, we sailed Tupaia through the Chonos Archipelago, a remote chain of islands in Chilean Patagonia. We threaded our way through uncharted channels with treacherous currents, found hidden anchorages with unexpected sandy beaches, and crossed the infamous Canal Moraleda more times than we'd have liked, with detours to the mainland and Isla Magdalena along the way. The rainiest part of the trip by far, but with enough good weather windows to explore this beautiful archipelago.

This film brings together the sailing, the hikes, life onboard, and the occasional misadventure into one journey through a corner of Patagonia that doesn't get nearly enough attention. It is presented without narration or dialogue, and uses only music and ambient sound. Subtitles are available in English, French, and Spanish to provide context, explain the visuals, and share practical information. Special thanks to Fernando Moraga for the Spanish translation.
