Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video explores the Grand Chincana of Chinchero in the Peruvian highlands, focusing on the mysterious \"Hanapacha\" sites. The narrator examines ancient stonework, including precise niches and unusual grooves, questioning whether these were created by the Inca or a lost civilization using advanced technology to manipulate stone and energy.
There is a great mystery in the highlands of Peru. A mystery that very few know about,
and it's little discussed even by those that do know about them. Could it be that these places
known as Hanapacha sites are forgotten because they just don't fit into mainstream historical
narratives? Let's explore that notion together. Today we are going to be taking a look at the
Grand Chincana of Chinchero, and we're going to be taking more of a deeper dive than most
videos do when they go to these sites because Chinchero is actually a rather large site,
and for most people they just visit the area around the church of Montserrat. I do believe
that these sites deserve a little more attention than just a cursory look because they really are
fantastic not only for the energy of these sites, which I feel are palpable, but also because
they're just a mystery, and most of the world doesn't really focus on them. They kind of focus
on the Inca works which are up above in Chinchero, and these huacas are kind of little visited,
but I think they deserve a little more attention. So anyways, I hope you enjoy this journey to the
Grand Chincana of Chinchero. Please like, subscribe, and share, and thank you so much for
joining me on this journey. So now we are on the Inca Trail and we're headed to a huaca called the
Grand Chincana, which is not to be confused with the equally impressive huaca with the same name
at Sacsayhuamán. What I love about this place is that it has a very fairyland kind of feel to it
with natural springs, gorgeous green pastures, and soon we will be seeing magical huacas that look
as if they are giant stone mushrooms sprouting up from the ground. There is so much Hanapacha
stonework at Chinchero. It's really everywhere. Just random stones cropping up around this
roadway. This is the Qhapaq Nan. Look how beautiful this is. Wow. Look at this amazing huaca. Here we
can see niches and seats formed into the stone. Is this the creation of the Inca who were working
in natural stone and cutting away slowly the stone to make these forms? Or was this the creation of
an earlier culture that used some kind of lost technology? As the stone really looks like it
was formed when the stone was once soft. And look at all of the alcoves that are underneath this
huaca. All straight edged and all with a roof that was fixed into this into the stone. See the 90
degree angle? Look at this perfect cut. And just wait to what you see up here. Look at this.
Beautiful. Look at these tooth-shaped stonework here. Just so precise. And there are niches all
the way around this huaca. And I believe these niches were used in the past and today by spiritual
seekers to get altered space and perhaps healing. So there's some energy that is happening here
not only at the water but the niches in the silica are creating some kind of magnetic field here.
So this is a triangular form cut in the stone. And you can even see that with the water here.
Look at that. And all the water is coming through in the rock and it's creating this moss here.
Look at how smooth this is. And where this once fit into this adjacent stone here. It is believed
that many of these niches that we see in the stone once held gold or silver plates. One of
the theories were that these plates would be used to reflect the sun's rays at certain times of the
year marking significant times in the solar season. So this is a very large niche here.
And look at this top here. Do you see that it goes inward for a length and then it stepped back
down and back down again? Look on the side here. You see this groove which goes all the way
on the side. Here we go. We can see it a little bit better here.
All the way to this niche over here. Another niche over here protruding out. More bizarre
forms in this limestone. But this groove goes all the way down this rock all the way to that niche.
And then we even have a little side niche over here. More grooves. And this groove
continues on down here. Look at that. And we have another underground niche here.
Wow. Okay. So did this groove hold something conductive inside of it? Some maybe copper wire?
It seems like it's going from one niche on one level all the way down to another niche on the
lower level. So it's just one of those mysteries. But were they doing something that was conducting
energy and from one level to another? Of this moss growing here and in this hole over here
I see a bone in there. And underneath the groove continues. And now I'm on top of this huaca.
And once again we see the surreal landscape that are the hallmarks of these huacas.
Look at this edge. So if you're feeling a little dizzy or unsure on your feet I would not recommend
walking all the way around on this huaca because it's a hundred foot drop down below.
There is a very scary path which will take you around this huaca. I'm just not so sure. I'm up
today. I just did a little meditation by the two-shaped niche down below and I got really
really shaky after doing that. So I'm not really firm on my feet right now. So I think we're just
gonna take a look at some of the forms that we have up here. You can see here this is where
the stairway goes all the way around the rock. And there is a niche on the side. Maybe I can
see it from up above. Oh look at this. Do you see this basin here? It's a very shallow one
right next to these 90 degree edges. More rounded niches here. A round niche here.
Another kind of oblong kind of shape here. What do you think was in the minds of the creators
when they were making these huacas? When they put these shapes in the stone?
What do you think they were used for? Okay I think that's all I'm gonna do up here.
This just fascinates me. These three rounded oval shapes here and a basin up here.
Actually there's more. One, two, three, four, five. And then we get into a straight tier.
And you can see with this tier it's angled off to the side and rounded. And one thing you really
don't want to do is fall on these huacas because the stone is extremely hard and everything is
uneven and they have some really sharp edges up here. So I'm gonna try to be really careful not
to fall. Looks like I have to come back up because there's a bunch of blackberry bushes over there.
I hope you enjoyed this journey to this magical land in the sacred valley of Peru.
Also I hope you will take a look at the two earlier videos in this series including the
second one about the huaca which has a strange dinosaur-like image formed in the stone.
