In 5 weeks, I’ll be driving through 9 countries and covering nearly 14,000 kilometers (8,700 miles) on my roadtrip to the North Cape. In the fifth part of my 5-week road trip to the North Cape, I’ll take you through the impressive landscapes, cultural treasures, and rich history of Finland—from the capital Helsinki to the nearly deserted north of this country.

I’ll explore Finland’s stunning lake district, visiting medieval castles and enjoying the peace of the country’s largest lakes. I’ll hike in Koli National Park, famous for its breathtaking views, and uncover Finland’s ancient history with a stop at prehistoric rock carvings. Further north, I’ll cross the Arctic Circle, encounter many reindeer, and reach Santa Claus’s village!
