In this episode, I travel into one of the wildest and most remote ecosystems in North America in search of this legendary animal. Along the way, I come face-to-face with giant black bears, witness rivers teeming with thousands of spawning salmon, and explore a landscape shaped by ancient rainforest, rugged coastline, and the stewardship of the Gitga'at people.

But what began as a search for a Spirit Bear quickly became something much more. Hidden amongst the salmon-filled rivers, I witnessed one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters of my career... a moment so unexpected that I could hardly believe what I was seeing.
