The Dawa Wang festival in Punakha recently concluded, featuring traditional mask dances performed by specialists from Chiji Gyempa. The community invites these external dancers every three years to ensure spiritual authenticity and preserve cultural traditions that the locals are not trained to perform, viewing the ritual as a means to foster peace and ward off negativity.
