✦ LYRICS

[Verse 1]
The moors stretch wide beneath the calling wind,
Where heather burns like ember in the grey,
My mother's voice still echoes on the glen,
But I have learned to find my own true way.

[Chorus]
I will ride, I will rise, I will run to the sky,
Past the thistle and the thorn and the cold winter's cry,
Let the highlands hold my name like a flame never tamed,
I was born to be wild, I was born unashamed.
Touch the sky, feel the fire in your blood as it flies…

[Bridge — Gaelic]
Mhàthair, can you see me now?
Tha gaol agam ort… (I love you)

✦ ABOUT THIS SONG
─────────────────────────────────
This song was created as an original Celtic anthem inspired by the spirit of Merida from Brave — the wild, fiercely free Scottish princess who dared to change her fate. The visuals were crafted to bring the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands to life: misty moorlands, ancient standing stones, will-o-wisps, and a blazing Highland sunset.

If you love Celtic music, Scottish folk, or the emotional soundscapes of Pixar's Brave, this one is for you. 🏹🔥
