LearningMole Live Stream
Finally and after spending a lot of hard work, LearningMole finally launched its first Alexa Skill. It could be used at home, in the classroom, or wherever you want but it will manage to serve you in the intended way - or at least we hope so :-)
In order to reach LearningMole on Alexa Skills, all what you will need to do is open this section on Amazon.com and enter "hi5 maths" and you will manage to enter the skill, and don't worry it is free to access so you will find it all easy to reach your destination since no payment is needed. Once you go onto the Amazon store, you will find a button that says 'enable' which you will need to press in order to be ready to go.
The best thing about Alexa is that you could use it on your phone after downloading it since you don't have to have your Alexa unit with you.
Coming to the part of using the application, it is actually very easy to use, so you will not find any complications going along the way. This application is basically a math quiz that is called "hi5 maths" which is based on the idea of five quick mental math questions, these questions are written by an experienced teacher who wants to challenge the kids with their mental math, so it won't be just the easy addition and subtraction questions, but there would be some problem solving questions, mathematical vocabulary, shaping, pattern, symmetry and all these questions that would really give the child a challenge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjrrtRV_opk).
From the interesting features of the skill is that there are five different levels - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - every single one of these levels is related to a specific age range, but it is still upon your choice to use the level that would suit your child no matter how old he/she is. Kids love moving up through the levels in general as some kind of challenging themselves and that's why they will start at level one no matter what level they are supposed to be at.
In this app - or skill - there are lots of questions found there and they are usually chosen randomly, so you will never be given the same five questions again and again, this will give you the chance to do as many levels and as many times as you want.
When we mention that the application or the skill is easy to use, we really do appreciate such a thing because this will make it easier for the kids to use it on their own as well without any assistance from the parents. The skill is now working live, so you could speak to your Alexa app and it will bring you where you want to go with the skill.
Make sure that when you are talking live to the program that you are sitting in a quiet room because if you are not and there are lots of people talking around you, it will tell you that it doesn't understand and you will need to keep repeating until it works.
The application is really really simple to use for the kids, it gives them about 8 to 10 seconds for every question to answer, but if the kids still need more time to answer the question, they could ask Alexa to repeat the question for them so that they could have more time to think and answer the question. Also Alexa will offer the information needed if the kids need a little bit of help regarding the levels for example.
When the kids are done with a specific level, they could stop just there and they could keep moving up the other levels if they want to, it will all depend on their time and what they want to do.
This is an explanation of the app we have launched and how you are supposed to download and use it. It would be a really good thing to receive the feedback from those who would use the application and see what did they like and what they didn't enjoy, so that we could improve in the future. Improving would be always good for us and this could be in the style of questions imposed.
This is really a different way of learning and introducing a little bit of fun, interactivity and challenges into the household for those homeschooling their kids and are always looking up for new methods and games which they could depend on to teach their kids math.
We hope you enjoyed our latest addition to the world of learning and to LearningMole, Alexa Skills is really a fun and interactive way for the kids to learn math and they could even easily use it all on their own without always having a parent to be beside them, all what they might be in need for is a little bit of guidance and some tips at the beginning of it all.
Kids could check some of the educational videos on our YouTube channel to learn some math and know some tricks before they go on to the part of solving problems and answering some questions imposed to them through the 'hi5 maths' quiz that is found on Alexa Skills (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLfSeSHWE78&list=PLEp6HdXIBkhoWu7m0AZ1iRuLTBpWzLOa2).
Hope you enjoyed our new addition to the world of learning and education and we hope that you download the skill and try to solve the quiz questions and problems.
