Learning what phonics is, going through the steps of decoding and blending, and then coming to the different activities that could help in teaching the kids all these things, are different things related to the English alphabet letters and learning them.

Phonics is known to be the sounds that each letter in the English alphabet should create and which the kids are supposed to do when learning to pronounce every single letter. Decoding the words means spelling every single letter on its own (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LWCkpSV6BI). Blending is the process of blending those decoded letters into the final word that the kid will eventually read (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ5icwjFri4).

After going through these different steps related to phonics, there comes the games and the activities which the kids will then play in order to practice and learn more. In this lesson, the activity we have brought for the parents to teach their kids is the letters sounds matching to the objects that are found there.

At the beginning of the lesson, start with bringing two different small boxes and choose two different letters to attach to every single one of them. In addition to the boxes, bring different objects from around the house and place them on the table in order to let the kids choose from them.

Once you settle these things on the table in front of your child, you will need to ask him/her to pick up the different objects from the table which start with a specific letter that you have chosen and written on one of the boxes. This is a good method because even if the kids are holding every single tool, they will still think whether it should go in the box or else not after the parent asks him/her to spell the word and check which letter it starts with.

In order to keep practicing, it is important to repeat the same process again with another letter and also ask the kids to pick up the objects or else hold some for them and ask them whether they could go inside the box or else they start with a different letter.

It is a good way to teach the kids phonics and it is also an effective method with the mistakes they might be doing because they will try pronouncing the words and they will think before they finally choose the object and place it in the box. There are lots of positive things related to this game and teaching the kids the English alphabet letters and their sounds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxfEbpLQPAE).

Learning the English alphabet letters is the first step in teaching kids English, although some learn the letters sounds before they could even point out the letters and know them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q2yKaY8gr4). Learning the alphabet letters, writing down the letters, and spelling them correctly are all steps related to learning English and starting the journey that will eventually teach the kids to reach.

There are different phonics games and activities for the kids to try out in order to learn the correct spelling and even learn to write down the letters correctly without creating any mistakes throughout the process (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DO_qeSroDs).

Getting creative with the games and activities chosen is always important because that's what will keep the kids excited. When it comes to the objects chosen, toys are important because those what will get the kids excited and wanting to repeat the game and learn more.
