You could call them number bonds, you could call them twin facts, you could call them number facts, at the end these facts end up being different facts that are used as a strategy to help the kids learn how to add.

Every single number has its own facts, in this educational video the number we are giving its facts is 10. When we mention number 10, we should then mention the two different numbers that when added together will give number 10 as the final answer, such as 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6, 5+5, 6+4, 7+3, 8+2, 9+1 and 10+0.

Following these steps or number facts is helpful for the bigger mathematical equations that the kid will be taught later on, such as adding 20+80, adding 50+50 or even going a little bit more difficult and adding 900+100 or adding 400+600. Kids should focus on the first number first, they already know that 5+5 would give them 10 and thus they will end up knowing that 50+50 will be 100, and that's how the whole thing goes.

Number facts really help the kids to do different calculations and several mathematical operations and it also make it easier for the kids to solve other complicated equations just by trying to think a little bit about the numbers found there and how they are supposed to be dealt with.

There are lots of number facts' videos that we have on our channel and most of them mainly depend on the idea of teaching the kids addition (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nk9wxO2tZA0). It is always better to let the kids think about a number as two smaller ones added up together, because this will give them the chance to enhance their thinking skills and manage to find the answers for the questions they are asked much easier.

Generally speaking, teaching kids numbers and enhancing their counting skills could happen through different ways and by using several games, kids could be taught to count numbers through using Lego pieces (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSMd8kMHIHo), they could also learn to count numbers through using their favorite cheerios and placing them in the spaghetti sticks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwhPTaFJRkc) and they could depend on all the other games which they enjoy playing with at home, such as play doh, monster characters, etc.

Math is always fun to learn for the kids, with all the games, the interactivity, and the challenges, it ends up with lots of things for the kids to do and lots of techniques for them to use in order to learn how to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide. The most important thing for the parent to focus on is to make different challenges because that's what kids always look up to and that's what make them eager to learn more and keep trying - they might sometimes even ask for the game to be repeated in order for them to win.

There are different educational videos on our channel which you could check in order to learn addition, here are some suggestions:

And lots more which you could check yourself while going through our channel.

Addition is actually the first step taken in the different mathematical operations that are done out there, and there is also the basic addition as well as those more complicated equations that the kids will need to deal with later on. Making sure that these are taken easily step by step is important, so that the kids end up knowing how to handle the mathematical problems in general.

Let the parents learn this mathematical number facts or bonds lesson idea and let the kids learn how to add different numbers according to their knowledge of number 10 facts.
