Are your kids aware of the different shapes found out there around them? Could they point out some of them? This is to help them know more about the shapes and their names and also get the chance to spot on the things scattered all around them and know which shape do they represent.

Teaching the kids more about the shapes could happen through several ways, it could happen through playing with these shapes and letting the kids tell you which is which, or else teach the kids to point out these different shapes from the items that are placed around them; e.g. ask your kid to point out a square from around you both.
