Math games and multiplication times tables can be used together to help educate children on numbers and counting. Times tables aerobics is a game used to give kids some fun while learning how to multiply.
This method is one of the easiest when it comes to multiplication for kids as it is the basic multiplication method that teachers and parents can use in schools and even at home while they are homeschooling their kids to take them through it step by step.
Times tables aerobics is a method that we love because it is a little bit challenging for kids, they will need to be aware of the timetable they are going to play with, they should listen and focus on the counting process in order to know what they are supposed to do with the number being said and they should be well aware of the moves they are supposed to do.
In this educational video, we want to help parents at home and teachers in schools to teach the kids the timetables while at the same time teaching them some aerobics moves. The whole idea behind this math game for kids is to choose two different times tables - for example, two and four - and ask the kids to raise their hands when a number related to number two times table appears (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAc1YC0sqss) and jump when any number in the timetable of number four appears (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZbNl0RutB0) and do both when the number mentioned is related to both times tables.
According to experience, we could say that kids always love to play those challenging games that make them use their minds, reconsider the lessons they have learned in math before and eventually give the right answer or the right move, it depends on the game they are playing.
Michelle has lots of suggestions and ideas when it comes to multiplication and she always suggests using the favorite games for the kids to make it more calling out for them. Play-doh, building blocks, Lego, cartoon characters and even other toys could be exciting for the kids to learn something through - they will be playing with at the same time learning a new thing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPW1bmLTFdA).
The grid method is one of the methods used in maths to teach kids multiplication (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3duqrhE8Xw) and there are also those math problems which will need to be solved and could be done through the building blocks that your kid owns (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pWka6dk3b4).
Choosing the multiplication method that your kid will use will always depend on which one they prefer and which they use easily without any complications. The basic multiplication method could be considered the easiest especially when dealing with big numbers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9TWSto7FSU).
From the other mathematical techniques which parents could teach the kids when it comes to math, there is the common core or the number line which is used with all the other math operations like addition and subtraction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v0AjM0jcPA).
Math, in general, could be part of everyday life, whether in doing some exercises and aerobics or in the daily conversations and activities that are done. You could ask your kid to count the plates you have taken to the table, you could ask him to count for you the remaining pieces of chocolate found in the box and then multiply them by two to know how exactly you still need, etc. There are lots of ways and methods used that could make math part of your kids' daily life and teach them how to apply the lessons they take in school or even at home on all the mathematical equations and operations they might need to handle.
