Addition for Kids - Number Lines - Math Tools

It is important to have the right addition tools that would make sure that your kids understand the basics of addition and that they could actually apply it easily while solving the addition mathematical problems which they might handle.
In this educational video, we have two different addition methods or tools which the kids could learn easily and which they will choose according to the one they prefer to deal with, these two different tools are the number line and the number square, and they are both very close to one another in the way they are both used.
Teaching addition for kids could actually happen through lots of ways and techniques and as a parent or a teacher, you should try to let the kids on them all in order to be the ones choosing which they will end up dealing with and which one they like dealing with the most.
The number line tool used to teach addition for kids is based on the line that you will draw and write the numbers on. This number could actually start at any point and end at another; you could start at 0, you could start at 5 and you could even start at 30, this will all depend on the addition equation you are giving for the kids to solve. The whole idea behind the number line is to let the kids jump while counting to get the final answer. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn2YBpCIzis)
The second method used to teach addition for kids is the number square. The number square is very similar to the number lines, the only different thing might be that the number square have more numbers written inside and at the same time it gives the kids the chance to see the link between the numbers; they will realize that they are in an order of 1, 10, 20, 30, etc. and will realize that the tens are changing but the units remain the same.
Jumping on the number line or even tracking the numbers in the number square will be done through the way that your kid will find interesting and will love the most, it could happen by using their favorite cartoon characters and it could be done through using a pen and drawing those jumps on the paper - the most important thing is to let the kids draw a small dot on the place they will start at to track down their journey.
There are lots of educational videos on our channel that are related to the addition methods which parents could use while homeschooling their kids and which even teachers could follow at school, the only thing they will need to do first is check whether this specific method is suitable for the age of the child or not.
There is the basic addition for kids that would let them come close to the world of mental maths (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdux-Xn35qE), but there are also those more creative ways and methods which could include specific toys that the kids play with in general during their day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQxUX7XZmGw).
One of the ways that questions are formed for the kids in order for them to learn how to add comes in the form of story problems which the kids will need to read, understand and then translate to mathematical numbers in order to solve the problem and get the final answer that will solve the whole equation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeCEbvUvPEo).
The interesting thing about math, or adding to be specific, is that you could do it with whatever you might have right there in front of you; it could be a paper, some small cartoon characters, it could be cups, it could be anything, all what you will need to do is make sure that they will be enough to count the equation you have.
Since these lessons are for the kids, it is of course important to choose the right tools which they will enjoy playing with and this will happen through trying and making the right choices by going for the things which they usually play with during the day.
There are lots of math games for kids, you should have to play along in order for them to get more excited and even trick their knowledge by sometimes giving the wrong answers and waiting for how they will respond, how they will correct you or whether they will notice or not (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNZ0xWMb54M).
