Here in LearningMole, Michelle has brought lots of different games which parents could use in their homeschooling journey that depend on play-doh, and not just that, but she also has her tricks with other games that the kids enjoy playing with, like the Lego, and this proved to be successful in motivating the kids to learn.

In this video, the main goal was to examine the child's ability to count and differentiate the number being presented to him. The good thing about the items that Michelle was using in this lesson and video is that they could be easily created with a pen and a paper; you could create your own domino piece and you could write whatever number you want on a piece of paper.

The items that Michelle used to play this teaching game with James included the play doh, the large domino piece printed on paper and the number four that was also printed on a piece of paper. This teaching lesson was all about James' ability to count the dots in the domino piece that identify their numbers with using the play doh to cover these dots, and the second part of the lesson was examining James' ability to identify the number displayed in front of him by creating the shape that he pleases in that number.

Play doh is definitely a good technique to use and depend on when it comes to counting and matching and we believe it is one of the essential games and toys that every home out there already owns, the rest of the items could be done at home without any difficulties faced, so you don't have to worry.

There are different tips given to those parents following the homeschooling way of learning with their kids but there is one important tip which we always like to share with them and which is about discussion and sharing. When you are proposing your questions and waiting for your kid to answer them, you should build a discussion according to the answer they will provide; how did they get the answer, how did they calculate the answer, etc. The other part of this tip is sharing and this is about playing along with them and not just being the ones asking and putting questions but give them the permission to do the same with you, let them ask you some questions and try even to trick them by giving wrong answers to know whether they will realize that it is wrong or not because this will show whether they know the answer in the first place for their questions or are just giving you something for the sake of it.
