Games and education; that's the new method we believe is effective when it comes to kids and teaching them about numbers, alphabet, counting and all these initial steps taken in the journey of education for toddlers and babies.

Math is always one exciting thing to teach the kids because it could be done through several ways and one of them is through the different games that are found out there; it could be done through play doh pieces, little small cartoon characters, through using dice and even through playing with a pen and writing on a piece of paper.

Choosing the game will depend on the age of the kid who is receiving the piece of information. According to this video, teaching the kids to count is one of the first steps taken in the world of math. Depending on this educational video, there are some games to play in order to teach the kids to learn more about the numbers and know what is smaller or bigger than the other.

There are some games to play with your kids in order to teach them counting. We have played with the Lego pieces, the dice and some other small characters to let the kids learn about numbers and know which ones are bigger than the others and which are smaller.

This could happen through several different ways; you could create two towers with different heights with the Lego pieces and ask your kid which is smaller than the other and why, and it is important to let them count the pieces and even give them the chance to point in order to make it easier for them.

Another game played with these different toys is placing different piles separated from one another and asking your kid to place the ones bigger than a specific number you choose to play with on one side and place those smaller than the same number on the other side. While playing this game, let the kids count and at the same time point on the side where the pile should be placed in, because that's how they are going to make everything clear.

The last part of this game is using the dice to play the game of recognizing the numbers and examining the kids and their knowledge when it comes to recognizing which is bigger than or smaller than the other. In this game, all what the kid will have to do is first decide whether the one getting a point will be the one with the smaller or the bigger number. This is important because it will help the kid to know which is bigger and which is smaller and parents should also ask them questions throughout the process, such as what is the smallest number on the dice, ask them who is the winner according to the two different numbers which both the parent and the kid got, etc.

There are lots of games to play when it comes to math and getting the kids more well educated and more aware of the numbers and counting them. We have other suggestions here for parents homeschooling their kids and teachers who are trying to find other new methods and techniques to depend on. You could check the bingo math games for kids and try playing them out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVM8iQMaZN8).

There are other math games on our channel as well, such as those related to addition (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzdK9bT9uOE), there are those problem solving games related to math and numbers as well (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7HC_4XRZTM),. Counting could be taught through lots of ways and to make the kids better at it all, you could teach them to count in 2's for example or to count in even or odd numbers and so on (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQX2DoUolsg).

Number games are numerous and they could actually come in lots of different ways and using the toys which your kid already own at home will make it all more interesting for them. One of those examples we are referring to is using the Lego pieces in order to help the kids to count and make it all easier and more interesting for them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3q7imQuRBQ).

We hope this was a useful video for you to teach your kids to count and at the same time make it interesting for them to do that with using their favorite toys at home.
