Minecraft, a popular game developed by Mojang, offers different game modes to cater to a variety of play styles. Here are the main modes:

Survival Mode: In Survival mode, players must gather natural resources such as wood and stone to craft certain blocks and items. Players have health, which can be depleted by attacks from monsters, falls, drowning, falling into lava, suffocation, starvation, and other events. They also have hunger, which must be filled by eating food in-game.

Creative Mode: This mode gives players unlimited resources, removing the survival aspects and focusing on building. Players are able to fly freely around the game world and do not take damage or lose energy from actions such as running or digging. This mode promotes players to focus on constructing imaginative structures.

Adventure Mode: In Adventure mode, players can interact with objects such as levers and buttons, and can interact with mobs. However, they can only break blocks with tools having a CanDestroy data tag, and only place blocks if the block they are holding has a CanPlaceOn data tag, making this mode ideal for user-created maps and adventures.

Spectator Mode: This mode allows players to fly through blocks and watch gameplay without directly interacting. Players do not have an inventory, but can teleport to other players or view from the perspective of another player or creature.

Hardcore Mode: This is a variant of Survival mode that features the highest (and unchangeable) difficulty and only one life. If you die in this mode, the game can no longer be played, and you are forced into Spectator Mode to watch the world but not interact.

Each mode provides a unique gameplay experience, from the challenging Survival and Hardcore modes, to the freedom of Creative mode, the map-centric Adventure mode, and the observational Spectator mode. Players can choose the one that best suits their preferences or objectives in the game.
