#thebestclassicalmusic, #music, #classicalmusic, #Relaxingmusic
Newly signed pianist and poet Xiaofu Ju announces his upcoming DG China debut album 'Mist Without' from which this piece is a part.
The concept-driven recital unfolds as an immersive listening journey in which music, text, and poetry form a unified artistic world. Featuring works by Janáček, Ravel, Mozart, Dowland, and Scriabin, the album invites listeners into a story-like arc of memory, night, mourning, and transformation.
The full album is released digitally, on CD and on vinyl on 10 July and is now available for pre-order.
More about the album:
Inspired by the German word Weltschmerz (“the pain of the world”) and the spirit of Chinese Misty Poetry, the album doesn’t “explain” emotions head-on, but lets them surface gradually, like meaning appearing through mist.
Janáček’s half-seen memories, Ravel’s nocturnal illusions, Mozart’s Lacrimosa reimagined in a solitary piano voice, Dowland’s dark inward song, and Scriabin’s Sonata White Mass as a blazing final chapter — more than a collection of masterpieces, Mist Without is designed as a one-sitting experience where music, writing, and poetry belong to the same world—an immersive, story-like arc that moves through mist, night, ghosts, mourning, darkness, and a final ritual-like surge of energy—ending in lucid stillness: the music stops, yet the mist does not lift.
