Mother Elephant's Quick Instincts Save Calf from Raging Rapids!

An elephant mum rescued her baby with her trunk after it was swept away in raging waters.

Incredible footage - viewed more than 1.8million times - showed one of the calves slip in the river rapids and get dragged along by the power.

The calf's mum acted quickly and grabbed her baby using her trunk and then put her whole body in the way to try and block the water from her child's path so they could get across.
