
English Language Vocabulary Lesson on the origin of English Words (English Etymology)
In this video, Mr. P./Marc will briefly explain the origins of the English language. He will give some examples of words that contributed to the formation of English, starting from the Celts until the arrival of the Normans. He will also go over and review the words that were from other cultures, including Hindi, Turkish, and Arabic. He will then end with a question for the spectator.
Mr. P. is a Canadian English Teacher/Coach from Toronto, Canada, who has been teaching English since 1997. He is a certified English teacher specializing in EFL, ESL, TOESL, TOEFL, #IELTS, KET, PET, CAE, FCE, and CPE. He taught English to adults in Rome for 20 years and became an Honorary Fellow at UNITELMA Sapienza University in Rome in 2015.
