Hundreds of fans crowded Lemon Hill for the USA-Paraguay match at FIFA Fan Fest, celebrating what many described as a patriotic moment in the birthplace of America.
"I wanted to support my team man. I live in Philadelphia. I'm out here with my boys. America's playing right now! America's playing!" Alban Peroy of Wyncote said.
The World Cup crowds are here right now.
Hundreds of soccer fans have descended onto the FIFA Fan Festival right there in Lemon Hill, cheering on the U.S. Men's national team.
There are giant screens so that the diehard fans don't miss out on any of the action.
Action News reporter Elizabeth Worthington in the mix of all of it.
Joining us live now from Fairmount Park.
And this game's gone final. Lots of celebrating for the U.S. team tonight.
Yeah, hey, Shari, what an ending to that game.
The USA was already up three to one.
And then in the final seconds of the game, we decided to score one more time just to really seal the deal.
So now people are celebrating.
There's a few more stragglers left on the park right now before heading home.
It's open for another hour as people make their way out of the FIFA Fan Fest.
But it's been an absolutely electric atmosphere here tonight.
It really felt like the 4th of July with all of this patriotic pride.
Hundreds of fans came out to FIFA Fan Fest at Lemon Hill for the USA versus Paraguay match.
Proud to be watching in the birthplace of America.
I want to support my team, man.
I live in Philadelphia.
I'm right out here, my boys.
America's playing right now.
America's playing.
I felt like it was going to be a lot of people out today of all different cultures, all different colors.
Everyone's out to see the World Cup.
It's the biggest experience in the world.
So to have it here in the United States on the 250th, I wanted to come out and just experience what that was going to be like.
Yeah, I just came out to support USA.
You know, I love USA so much.
Here in the city, having a good time with my friends.
It's so cool to see so many people out here.
It's very hot out, but that's not stopping people.
But it's not all fun and games.
We've just been having a lot of traffic issues.
People who live in Brewery Town near the Fan Fest say drivers have been speeding through their neighborhood and making illegal U-turns after realizing certain roads are closed.
It's not a driver issue.
It's a city issue.
There's no signage.
There's no, no, there's no signage alerting people that there's road closures ahead.
So they're just doing a loop there.
So they made their own signs like this one on the 2900 block of Ogden Street.
Council Member Jeffrey Young says he has requested signage for that area from the streets department.
A neighbor had an incident where their five-year-old almost got hit going through the crosswalk because a car was making a U-turn in the crosswalk.
Again, that city council member is working to address that with the city streets department.
Now, if you live in that neighborhood and you're wondering when the noise is going to die down tonight, pretty soon.
This Fan Festival wraps up an hour after each match ends.
So tonight, that is midnight.
It opens back up again tomorrow at 2 o'clock.
We are live in Lemon Hill with lots of USA Chance behind us.

Shari?
Oh, yeah.
It looks like they really are enjoying tonight.
A win always helps.
Okay.
Elizabeth.
Yeah.
