Fire Cooked Filet Steak Sandwich by the Stream
Fire Cooked Filet Steak Sandwich in the Forest. 🌲🔥
Taking outdoor cooking back to basics. For this build, we dug a traditional Dakota fire hole by the stream—using a two-hole system for maximum heat efficiency and minimal smoke.
For the bread, we lined a cast-iron pan with smooth stones gathered straight from the river, using them to prop up and bake the dough into a perfect, crusty boat-shaped structure.
Once the bread was beautifully charred, we packed it to the brim with prime filet steak, fresh chillies, garlic, onion, and parsley—all seared over the open flames beforehand. Pure forest theater from start to finish.
