John Ireland: A Downland Suite: Minuet. George Henry: Paintings.

Originally written by John Ireland for brass band, "A Downland Suite" was later arranged for string orchestra by Geoffrey Bush. The third movement of the suite, the "Minuet", is played here by the City of London Sinfonia, conducted by Richard Hickox.

The paintings are by George Henry, one of the "Glasgow Boys".
