The Swedish Royal Family celebrated Sweden's National Day and Swedish Flag Day on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with traditional events spread across Håbo, Salem, and Stockholm. Stockholm (The Royal Palace): Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel officially opened the southern gates of the Royal Palace to welcome the public into the Inner Courtyard.Håbo Municipality: King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia began their morning at Skokloster Castle. Following the local celebrations, the King inaugurated a new sculpture called Kungsälgen ("The Royal Moose") by artist Jerker Andersson.
Salem Municipality: The Crown Princess Couple (Victoria and Daniel) traveled to Skönviksparken in Rönninge to take part in local festivities.Evening Celebrations at SkansenIn the evening, the family reunited for a horse-drawn cortege from the Royal Palace to the Solliden Stage at Skansen, the historic open-air museum where Sweden's National Day tradition originated.
