A month bikepacking through Ecuador. After nearly a year cycling through the more densely populated Central America & Colombia, Ecuador marked a shift in my journey south as I was able to get out into some big, open wilderness areas once again. In this episode I try to find my feet wild camping again, which doesn’t prove as seamless as I thought. I hope you like it!
I was mostly following bikepacking.com's Trans Ecuador Mountain bike route, linked here: https://bikepacking.com/routes/trans-...
Entire route from Alaska: https://gregm.cc/map
Video Summary
AI GeneratedA cyclist journeys through the Ecuadorian highlands, overcoming the challenges of wild camping in the Andes. After visiting iconic volcanoes like Cotopaxi and Chimborazo, he chooses the grueling Inca Trail over the highway, pushing his physical and mental limits to reach Cuenca, ultimately gaining a profound sense of self-reliance and confidence.
