Bikepacking Peru 🇵🇪 Part 5

From the city of Arequipa, we set off to climb Chachani (6075m), one of the highest accessible volcanoes in the Andes.

The route quickly leaves the city behind, climbing into dry high-altitude landscapes. Thin air, long ascents, and rough terrain define this part of the journey.
This is a different kind of bikepacking — slower, more demanding, shaped by altitude and exposure.
We made a first try, but due to the weather we had to come down. But the following morning I felt like it was time to go again.
