Henry Hugglemonster
Henry loves Beckett.
Henry and Summer are planning a surprise party.
It's for someone very special.
The cake is baked, the balloons are blown up,
and the party guests have arrived.
Now it's time for everyone to hide.
Surprise!
Happy birthday, Beckett.
We love you.
Now let's have some fun, shouts Henry.
I know how much you love trampolines,
so it's trampoline time.
But high on the Hugglemonster's roof,
someone is not having fun.
A baby Fuzzlebird has just hatched from his egg,
and he does not like all the loud party noise.
When Beckett gets ready to do a triple backwards trampolino flip,
Mama Fuzzlebird swoops down and pulls the plug from the trampoline.
Uh-oh, Beckett.
We don't need a trampoline to have a good time, says Henry.
That's right.
We can play follow the monster leader, Summer shouts.
Gurgler has a turn as monster leader,
and then it's Henry's turn.
Everybody make some noise, Henry yells as he picks up his drumsticks.
Mama Fuzzlebird is not happy.
When Henry tosses his drumsticks into the air,
Mama Fuzzlebird swoops down and grabs them.

No drumsticks, no problem, Henry says.
It's piñata time.
Come on, Beckett, calls Summer.
You go first.
Beckett picks up a stick and tries to break the piñata open.
Everyone is cheering and shouting when Daddo stops by with baby Iva.
Iva hears all the noise and starts to cry.
Henry remembers that babies don't like loud noises.
Sorry, little Iva, he says to his baby brother.
Daddo and Iva go back inside where it's quiet.
When everyone starts to play and shout again,
Mama Fuzzlebird swoops down and grabs the piñata.
All of our stuff keeps disappearing, says Summer.
It's like somebody doesn't want us to have a party.
Henry looks for their missing stuff while Summer gets ready to sing the special Beckett song.
Gurgler gets set to leap through the hoop as Summer counts down.
A-one, A-two, a-one, two, three, hit it!
But Summer's song gets interrupted when Mama Fuzzlebird swoops down
and flies away with the hoop.
She takes a party hat too.
Wow, it's a Fuzzlebird, calls Henry.
He thinks that Mama Fuzzlebird might know where the rest of the stuff is.
He flies up to her nest.
Here's all our party stuff, Henry cries.
Henry sees that there's a baby in the nest too.
Hey, you have a little party hat, just like Beckett, Henry says.
That must be because you were born today, so it's your special day too.
Henry invites the Fuzzlebirds to join the party, but Mama Fuzzlebird shakes her head.
Henry doesn't understand.
Then he hears all the noise and remembers babies don't like loud noises.
Hugglemonsters always do the right thing.
So Henry flies down and asks everyone to be quiet.
Mama Fuzzlebird drops the trampoline plug,
the drumsticks, the piñata, and the hoop to the ground.
Then she flies down with her baby.
Beckett, today is baby Fuzzlebird's birthday too, explains Henry.
Is it okay if we invite them to your party?
Yep, yep, answers Beckett.
There's just one thing, Henry says.
Babies don't like loud noises.
Summer, do you think you can do a quiet version of Beckett's special song?
I would love to, Summer says.
She restarts the song, but this time she sings extra quietly.
A-1, A-2, A-1-2-3, Summer whispers.
Beckett and baby Fuzzlebird listen as Summer sings softly and all the friends chime in.
Happy birthday to you, and baby Fuzzlebird too.
Beckett and baby Fuzzlebird, we love you.
