We follow them through the three great periods of the prophetic age: the Assyrian invasions, the Babylonian conquest and exile, and the return under Persia. Along the way, we see how their messages were shaped by the fall of Israel, the destruction of Jerusalem, the exile in Babylon, the rebuilding of the temple, and the hope of God’s coming kingdom.
