The video documents author Cathy Hay’s journey of sewing and hand-embroidering a velvet jacket inspired by the Victorian era. In this episode, she completed the fourth of seven embroidery panels, fixed a bubbling issue in the velvet by trimming away some of the cotton backing fabric on the reverse side, and pinned the garment pieces onto a mannequin for the first time to begin shaping the jacket’s silhouette.
