This started as a simple idea to share kindness and generosity. We wondered, what would happen if we invited you to give with us? And together we raised $2000 to feed 100 families in Uganda!
In this video, you can see all that it took to make it happen in Uganda -- the food, the packing, the people, and the impact you helped make possible.

This is our Christmas giving project come to life. Watch this video with us.
So this past December we wanted to do something special for others
and together with you we raised two thousand dollars which is enough to give food baskets
to 100 families in Uganda, East Africa. How amazing! We want to say thank you to everyone
who saw our post, shared it, commented and an extra special thank you to those who gave.
So we were able to give the money that we raised to our team in Uganda which are Zach,
Deo and Grace and what they did is they told us kind of what are the food staples
that families could enjoy. So they were able to buy flour, rice, sugar, salt,
bars of soap and cooking oil. We were able to distribute this food to over 100 families
in two rural communities on the outskirts of the capital of Kampala.
So these are rural areas where you know jobs are scarce and it's harder for families to provide
for themselves so it required a lot of work. As you can see there was a lot of people involved
in this so Zach, Deo and Grace actually managed, actually rallied a team of volunteers around them.
They had a driver, they had a community guide who helped mobilize the seniors and the needy families
and gather them together. They had people helping with the shopping.
It's so cool to see how many people were involved with this and we're really thankful for their help.
So when the distribution was happening Zach excitingly texted us and he said
many of the recipients praised lots of blessings to everyone who had a hand in giving this gift
and that includes you. He said there were many chanting praises and how these were going to be
special meals. There was even one person who texted and said that told Zach come next year
and they will still be eating the same beans because they planned on
eating some right away and then actually planting some and getting
plants out of this. So how amazing that this meal is actually going to keep on giving.
We're just so thankful that you were a part of this and that we were able to touch lives
half a world away from what we have here in Canada and wherever you live. We were able to touch lives
on the other side of the planet and that's a really cool feeling. So we want to encourage you
like if you're family and friends whatever act of generosity this is what this is an act of
generosity that you can do with people that might be around you we encourage you to do so. Yeah every
act of kindness matters whether it's in your your own town your own city these are the kinds of
things that make the world go round and so we hope that this just encourages you to to try something
and thank you for being a part of this.
