Anita and Tim's Christmas Giving Project 2025

Anita and I are celebrating our first Christmas married with a special Christmas Giving Project and we'd love for you to join us! Here's all the details + a little baThe continent of Africa holds a special place in my heart and in my wife Anita’s heart. 🌍 For both of us, it was a place where we were quietly reborn. Through our separate work there, we each found a sense of purpose and calling that would change the course of our lives.⁠

Because of that, Africa has never felt abstract or far away. It tugs quietly at our hearts.⁠

Over the years, our travels, the people we’ve met, the books we’ve read and the experiences we’ve had have all shaped our belief that generosity is one of the most powerful forces on earth.⁠

Giving isn’t about a dollar amount. It’s about the joy of helping someone else, with whatever we’ve been given. Giving frees us — and others.⁠
⁠Last Christmas, our first as an engaged couple, we tried something simple.⁠
⁠
We sent a small amount of money to a friend in Uganda, East Africa and asked him to help identify families who were in need. A short time later, we received photos of elderly women and mothers holding food baskets he had purchased and delivered locally.⁠
⁠
It brought us so much joy! To think that from what we have been given in Canada, we were able to touch someone’s life half a world away. 💫⁠
