Qiu Chuji was a Taoist practitioner during the Jin and Yuan dynasties. After obtaining Daoist teachings, he traveled as a beggar until he reached Panxi in Shaanxi, where he dug a cave as his residence, naming it Changchun Cave. Inside this cave, he devoted himself to meditation day and night, venturing out only to beg for food. He endured harsh winters, often suffering from hunger and cold. For six years, he wore nothing but a worn-out straw raincoat, earning the nickname "Mr. Straw Raincoat."
