Ancient Mythical Creatures That Started the Werewolf Legend - Werewolf's Dark Family Tree

Unlike the vampire family tree from my previous video, which slowly narrowed into a more recognizable blood-drinking creature before branching outward again, the werewolf family tree splits much earlier. Its roots do not begin with one specific monster, but with a far older human idea itself:

The belief that humans could become beasts.

Evidence of these transformation beliefs appears incredibly early in human history. Cave paintings discovered in Sulawesi Indonesia, dating back over 40,000 years, show mysterious human-animal hybrid figures hunting animals in what is considered some of the oldest supernatural imagery ever found.
