Freewing MiG 29 Fulcrum vs. F-14 Tomcat - Motion RC EDF Jet Formation Flight

Very nice That was the path You ready for this Patrick? So we're out here for a formation flight tandem on the brand-new mig-29, which I'll be piloting and Patrick brought his own f-14 Tomcat one of his favorites right personally. Yeah, personally Everything about it. He's a Top Gun kid But uh, it's unbelievable just size difference We believe the Tomcat's about 12th scale. Somewhere in there, yeah. Mig's 9th scale So the mig is just bigger but both twin 80 power systems and we're excited for this This will be my third flight first time on 4,000. So I'm going conservative. I put my timer at two and a half minutes I just I'm at no interest in Anything dangerous step in a little bit more. You're moving out of the frame. There he is and Alec you ready? Oh All right, they're gonna land so we can talk for a bit Again guys, you've been seeing all these videos and the progression We're gonna take this thing and get more and more dangerous, you know as we go It's just you know We got the thing about a couple days before we announced it so we were able to get out for maybe three flights that day Just to get something, you know, and then we went out for about ten flights I think you did consecutive, you know and all different packs though So you don't really get a chance to sit there with one set of most guys are probably just gonna have one You know set of packs and they're gonna keep racking on it. And now it's my turn to fly it a bit I got to get used to it. But you know more and more guys this the MIG is obviously hit and Alex is ready. I'm ready. I'll be taking off first. So I am 50 flat and Taking off right to left We like the idea of the Tomcat being behind the MIG We don't like the other way, of course we do. I'm turning in. Okay Right behind you. I'm gonna come in for a straight It in okay fast now, okay No, the MIG is on the Tomcat's tail what got on it what happened That big butt man. You can't move it up. Oh, I hit the brakes and you flew right by Go to guns baby go to guns I think you're in front again Here we go, oh, yeah, you definitely got Well now would you be faster with a swept? Wings are coming back to a sweep With the Tomcat I've dog-fought this with the wings back Well, I think most likely would he use the wings to get there to the fight and then the wings have probably come out to Do the fight now here we come back. How are you? Got the wings back? We're giving everybody a show You can definitely see the MIG has a lot more than the Tomcat I'm staying at half throttle. I said, let's do a half throttle pass. Okay, I'll turn in Okay a little bit. See if we could get lined up. All right closer Slowing it up and now I'm going to half throttle. Here we go. There's a half drop. Oh very nice That was the path So it's easy to do that stuff at slower speed But now I'm at 15 seconds. Okay, just because you know, I'm gonna drive a little bit. No worries. I'm dropping that I'm gonna let you do your thing and I'm gonna stay high. I'm dropping my gear going 50 flaps I'm gonna do one like half pass and I'll get back into the formation So, here we go And again guys, this is just me being conservative. I ain't trying to Low voltage in in the midst of all this fun Landing right to left on the MIG Power coming out. So you're setting up for landing. Yeah, I'm gonna start setting it up as well My nose is up Yeah, Tomcat's gonna take a little bit more speed she's got the higher wing loading Okay, you clear down the end I'm gonna consider this one my full stop land it right left So I've got a little bit of a tailwind. So that's always fun with a Tomcat And I'm getting her slow down getting her down to the runway. I got plenty of power on it I'll take it. We take them all baby. Nice little tail tailwind landing with the Tomcat Oh man, that's so awesome. I can't wait to explore this more. I don't have enough time today to do any more flights I was on my way out the door and Patrick showed up Well I'd say they're a good looking place They are a good looking place You wanna go down to the end for Patrick? Sure I think you captured this MIG You told him to land that's it on the carrier here at gunpoint said put it down You want to survive? Cuz we just want to fly it sir Patrick that was awesome. I'm not worried about the flight batteries on this. We assemble it We build it But Alex has given you a great shot of the two of them guys two of the three free-wing twin 80 millimeter jets and a perfect Pairing I think for all the guys who wanted an adversary for one of these big ones there She is yeah, they look great in the air together And you know I can't wait to see the f-14 on that power system.
