Young bear spotted moving through neighborhood prompts safety warnings

Authorities are urging residents to remain alert after a bear was spotted moving through parts of Montgomery County, including Towamencin Township and Lansdale, over the past day.

Officials said the animal was last seen around 11 a.m. near the 2200 block of Berks Road in Lansdale. The state game warden believes it is the same bear reported in multiple sightings across the area and is asking the public to watch for it.
