Jake Banfield and his daughter create a MAGICAL MOMENT IN TIME!｜Semi-Finals｜BGT 2026

These are all of the moments that have led me to this stage tonight. The idea for this came from something that we do at home. We hung pictures up in my daughter's room to remind her of all of the fun things that we've done. But me as a toddler, she likes to climb so what did she do? She pulled them down. I want to create one more moment like this tonight, another connection. KSI, last time I was here it was my audition. Perfect timing. One millisecond sooner or later and I wouldn't be standing here. But the last thing you said to me was do it again. It was a fluke. So do you have your phone? I do. Can you open up the stopwatch for me? Yes I can. Stopwatch. You can press start whenever you like. Oh okay. Have you started yet? Yeah I have. You have? I thought he's going to leave me hanging for a minute there. No don't worry, I've got you. Whenever you're ready you can press stop. What's on the table is my phone and before I came out I set it to an exact time. Press stop. There's no way. Can I show you? Perfect timing. Your friendship on this show, your connection. This is what we're talking about right? It's clear for everyone to see. How many seasons have you been on the show together? Oh crikey. 14 years. Is it? 14 years. Is it? It is. That's a lot. You must be doing something. Moments here. You see? So many lovely photos. Oh I need some of those. Pepsi and Shirley live. Amanda I want you to point your finger out. I want you to swipe up once. Do you remember this? I think I do. Yeah? You look really happy in this photo. Always. But magic is about doing things in real life. Simon though, I remember no phone. But I do have real copies of the pictures on stage. This is my sister-in-law. And she actually had a baby two days ago. So all of these moments mean so much to me. That was the audition. That was our wedding day. I know what you're going to say. I'm punching above my weight right? We're going to concentrate on one moment this evening. So KSI, which ones should we keep for now? These or these? Whichever you say, we'll keep. These? Amanda, which one should we keep? That one. These? Yeah. Simon, you're going to hold on to one of my closest memories. Okay. So what I want you to do is just touch the back of one of these. Okay. That one? This one. Keep your finger on it for me. Got it. Okay, perfect. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you that. But I don't want anybody to see it. So take it for me. All right, got it. And don't let anyone see, not the audience, not the cameras, anyone. I want you to slide it up and hold it against your chest. Got it. No one's going to see it. Perfect. This is where I need everyone in the audience. And turn on the flashlights and shine them down towards Simon. This is a big moment for me because I can't sing. So I'll never get this in a concert. Simon, for the first time, I want you to just take a peek at the photo. And lock that image in your mind. Got it. You've got it. Now, you could have chosen one of over 100 pictures. Yeah. But you chose that one. I did. I want you to close your eyes and concentrate on that image. You're going to make the magic happen. Simon, open your eyes. Can we reach that one? Ready? Simon, nobody else has seen that image. It's just in your mind. Some are just more special. Say hi. Do you remember them? They're quite friendly in real life, aren't they? Should we show Simon? Simon, for the first time, which one did you pick? Would you show us, please? Are you ready? Let's start with you. How good was that? Oh, my goodness me. I mean, your audition really tugged at our heartstrings. But again, you did it tonight. For me, I think you're very calm on stage. You have amazing presence and you just made us all think. That was beautiful. Honestly, you blew my mind like several times throughout that session. I'm lost for words. Talk about leveling up an audition. Wow. The atmosphere that you created in the room. And like Amanda said, you're so calm and composed. Just relax and enjoy everything about that. And the magic was just so well done. I mean, listen, they love you. Seriously, that's real. I think even you might be surprised at the reaction because you were very nervous. And you know what? Apart from being, you know, actually, that was a really, really, like KSI said, it was a beautiful audition. You're really relatable. And I think you're going to do better tonight than you may have thought. That was really, really good. Thank you, judges. Love you. We loved it here, Jake. And once again, you get to have your beautiful family with you on stage. Very lucky. I mean, she's the real star of the show, right? She is, yeah. She's always going to be the star, isn't she? She's always going to take the limelight, which is nice. That feel good? That is going to be one of the best experiences I've ever had. This crowd were incredible. Congratulations.
