The Dogs Found a Secret Visitor in the Backyard!!

It has been an absolutely crazy week, and we are back with an old school, vlog to catch you up on everything happening with us an the dogs! Eleanor and I were actually gone downstate for a three day trip, and the second I got back, we discovered a major surprise. There is a baby bunny living right under our shed! Our yard is completely fenced in with rocks lining the bottom, so how this little critter managed to sneak in is a total mystery. Now, every single time the girls go outside, we have to do a full bunny check because we all know bunnies freeze instead of running. We might even have to get a live trap to safely relocate our new little neighbor before we can finally get the pool ready!
While we were out tracking down the bunny, I wanted to give you all an important health update on Miss Memphis. Our 13 year-old senior dog went to the vet last week, and her liver levels, specifically her ALKP and ALT, are more out of whack than they have been in a while. We have been tracking these rising levels for the past three years, but since she had a big spike this time, she is heading back to the vet this Wednesday for an abdominal ultrasound and some X-rays. Our amazing vets are going to try to do everything without sedating her since she is always so calm and good for her exams. Jamie has been keeping up with her massages and red light therapy while I was gone to help keep her comfortable, and we will definitely keep you updated on what we find out.
It is officially Memorial Day weekend, but it still feels like total winter here in Northern Michigan! The wind is freezing, so we aren’t even camping yet and our rig isn't quite ready. We are just hanging out locally, taking the girls for walks, and staying cozy.
