Wolf Standoff at 5,300m — Solo Bikepacking Across China’s No-Man’s Land
6 Video Views·May 24, 2026
This is a game for the brave. I solo-bikepack across China’s G219 no-man’s land (Xinjiang → Ali region, Tibet): a two-wolf standoff at 5 m, using my bike as cover and a hand axe for deterrence. Then I climb Jieshan Daban (5,347 m), roll past Longmu Co and Quanshui Lake, and camp inside an abandoned checkpoint where ice never melts at the door. Water is scarce, rice won’t cook at altitude, and every kilometer is a negotiation with wind, cold, and luck (yes—I even found dropped food on the roadside).
