Beautiful, pure music from the Divine land, flying all over the mundane world.
The bright celestial sound cleansing the distraction to the mind.
May the purity and peacefulness of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearence through the heavenly music,
bringing you back to the home of your spirit.
Hello, dear listeners.
Welcome to Radio Minghui's Heavenly Pure Music.
Life does not last a hundred years; and even if it did, what then?
Since ancient times, heroes and warriors have all returned to the mountains and rivers.
This is “Life Does Not Last a Hundred Years” by Liu Bowen of the Ming Dynasty.
Liu Bowen spent his life assisting Zhu Yuanzhang in founding the Great Ming Dynasty.
In addition to leaving behind the famous prophecy “The Song of the Baked Buns,”
he also left this special little poem for posterity.
To begin the program, please enjoy the piece “Life Is Like a Play,” composed by Qingyuan.
If life is like a play,
no matter what role we play in this life, even the longest is no more than a hundred years.
Then, what comes after a hundred years?
Liu Bowen asked this a hundred years ago:
Even if one lives to be a hundred, so what?
Next, please listen to the song “What Is the Meaning of Life,”
with lyrics by a Dafa disciple, music by Ruchu, and vocals by Yongsheng.
Oh, people, who can understand,
what is the meaning of life?
Through reincarnation, who am I?
Where did I come from in the beginning?
Where will I go in the end?
These three great questions, no one can solve.
Living and living, yet never understanding,
Is living merely for the sake of mere love?
Growing old together, surrounded by children and grandchildren,
When we leave this world, who can escape it?
Gaining fame and glory, at the height of one’s glory,
A hero buried in the earth, a desolate mound.
Through cultivation, I have finally understood,
that returning to one’s true self is the true meaning of life.
It turns out I am a guest from the heavens,
my true self originally came from the heavens,
and I must return to the heavens,
for my Master has unraveled all of life’s mysteries.
Suffering, suffering—I must repay my karmic debts,
but no matter how arduous the path of cultivation, I am willing to endure it.
To obtain the Great Law today,
I have waited for tens of thousands of years.
Even when facing countless hardships and dangers,
my unwavering faith in the Master and the Fa remains unshaken.
I will surely attain enlightenment! I will surely attain enlightenment!
This is the very meaning of my life.
People, oh people, who can truly understand,
what is the meaning of life?
Through reincarnation, who am I?
Where did I come from in the beginning? Through reincarnation, who am I?
Where did I come from in the beginning?
Where will I ultimately go?
These three great questions, no one can solve.
We live and live, yet never truly understand,
Is life really just for the sake of mere love?
Growing old together, surrounded by children and grandchildren,
When we pass away, who can escape this fate?
Achieving fame and glory, shining brightly for a time,
Yet buried in a desolate mound, heroes return to the earth.
If Master Liu could foretell the great events from the Ming Dynasty to the present day,
Might his question, “What of a hundred years?” be more of a reminder?
What else is he reminding us of?
To conclude the program, please listen to the song “A Thousand-Year Dream Fulfilled,”
with lyrics by Yu Bu Yi, music by Ming Ke, and vocals by Jing Xin.
Through all four seasons, no flower escapes withering
Amid wind, snow, and ice, the Bodhi flower blooms alone in splendor
In this vast human world
Obsessed with worldly affairs like fleeting clouds and smoke
Who knew this wondrous flower would call those with karmic ties?
Through the six realms of reincarnation, we realize how rare human life is
Like a dream, we rise and fall; how many joys and sorrows fill our hearts
Cherish this eternal bond
In this chaotic age of the final tribulation, there is a true teaching
Do not forget the vows made long ago
Awaken quickly from this delusion
A thousand-year dream is fulfilled in this lifetime
Blessed by grace
The Creator has come
The Udumbara flower is in full bloom
Hoping only that those with predestined ties may obtain Dafa and return to heavens
Through the six realms of reincarnation, we come to know how rare it is to be born as a human
Like a dream, we rise and fall; how many joys and sorrows fill our hearts
Cherish this eternal bond
In this chaotic age of the final tribulation, there is a true teaching
Do not forget the vows made long ago
Awaken quickly from your delusion
A thousand-year dream is fulfilled in this lifetime
Blessed by grace
The Creator has come
The Udumbara flower is in full bloom
Hoping only that those with predestined ties may obtain Dafa and return to heavens
In this vast human world, we are deluded by worldly affairs like fleeting clouds and mist.
Who knew that this wondrous flower would call those with karmic affinity?
Cherish this eternal bond
In this chaotic age of the final tribulation, there is a true teaching
Do not forget the vows made long ago
Awaken quickly from this delusion
A thousand-year dream is fulfilled in this lifetime
Blessed by grace
The Creator has arrived
The Udumbara flower is in full bloom
Hoping only that those with predestined ties may obtain Dafa and return to heavens
Could this short poem left by Liu Bowen be hinting to us that,
a hundred years from now, when the physical body returns to nature, what of the soul?
Will we be so busy with life that we forget to help our souls find the path home?
Dear listeners, I hope the pure and beautiful sound of Heavens.
will awaken people in illusive secular world.
Free from the pain of fighting for fame and fortune.
Find the ancient memories that belong to you.
Return to your true self.
This is the end of today's program, thank you for listening.
