Classical Chinese Dance Fan Dance

The Chinese idiom “floating clouds and flowing water,” (xíng yún liú shuǐ) describes a natural, fluid style of calligraphy or writing. Between shows at the Detroit Opera House, we tried to bring the idiom to life through dance.
