Uncovering America's wine secrets
This isn’t your average orange wine.

Bonny Doon’s Le Cigare Orange has one of the weirdest (and fun) backstories in wine. It’s inspired by a real-life 1954 law in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France, that banned UFOs from landing in vineyards. (Yes, really.) But the aliens aren’t the only wild part, this wine blends five grapes, including two rare Grenache grape mutations you probably didn’t know existed: Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris.

This bottle comes from the mind of Randall Grahm, the legendary founder of Bonny Doon, known for his experimental spirit and boundary-pushing approach to winemaking. If there’s anyone who would make a UFO-inspired orange wine, it’s him. Cheers!
