archaeological explanation under the microscope — not to mock it, but to test
whether it actually holds up. Can hematite hammerstones, lubricated ramps,
wooden cranes, and sheer human labor really account for the 1,000-ton blocks
at Baalbek and the impossibly tight joints at Sacsayhuamán?
